The Commission will recognize former District 3 Commissioner Michael Ray, for his dedicated service to the Oklahoma Aeronautics Commission from January 7, 2011 through December 28, 2020, and former District 5 Commissioner Dave Amis, III, for his dedicated service to the Oklahoma Aeronautics Commission from January 17, 1997 through December 31, 2020.

The Commission will be informed regarding the “Cost Savings, Value & Efficiency Award” received by the Transportation Cabinet at the 3rd Annual Governor’s Leadership Summit on June 23, 2021. The Cabinet is one of seven state agencies to receive recognition this year and the award is specific to the modernization effort.

  1. APPROVAL TO PARTNER WITH OKLAHOMA DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AT 2021 NATIONAL BUSINESS AVIATION ASSOCIATION – Business Aviation CONVENTION & Exhibition — Director Ardies

The Commission will consider approving a partnership up to $5,000 with the Oklahoma Department of Commerce and other Oklahoma public and private entities to share exhibit space at the National Business Aviation Association Convention and Exposition, (NBAA) October 12-14, 2021, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Commission will consider approving $250 to exhibit at the 2021 Oklahoma Municipal League Annual Conference & Expo, which will be held Sept. 7-9, at the Oklahoma City Convention Center in Oklahoma City.

  1. AIRPORT CONSTRUCTION GRANT PROGRAM Consent Docket — Ben Naghavi, Airport Engineer

Any Commissioner may request that any or all of these items be considered individually.

 

  1. The Commission will consider approving a state grant for a project that is currently identified in the Commission’s approved Airport Construction Program at Ardmore Municipal Airport. The project consists of rehabilitating runway 13/31 and installing LED runway lights. Based on bids, the total project cost is $1,821,305 and will be funded with $942,277 of federal grant funds, $104,699 of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, $735,612 of state grant funds and $38,717 of sponsor matching funds. An approval is contingent upon the Commission receiving an acceptable grant application.

 

  1. The Commission will consider approving a state grant for a project that is currently identified in the Commission’s approved Airport Construction Program at Boise City Municipal Airport. The project consists of rehabilitating runway 18/36 and installing LED runway lights. Based on bids, the total project cost is $1,885,786 and will be funded with $1,050,000 of federal grant funds, $116,667 of ARPA funds, $683,163 of state grant funds and $35,956 of sponsor matching funds. An approval is contingent upon the Commission receiving an acceptable grant application.

 

  1. The Commission will consider approving a state grant for a project that is currently identified in the Commission’s approved Airport Construction Program at Elk City Regional Airport. The project consists of installing LED runway lights, PAPIs, AWOS and a flight inspection. Based on bids, the total project cost is $976,048 and will be funded with $487,500 of federal grant funds, $54,167 of ARPA funds, $404,954 of state grant funds, and $29,427 of sponsor matching funds. An approval is contingent upon the Commission receiving an acceptable grant application.

 

  1. The Commission will consider approving a state grant for a project that is currently identified in the Commission’s approved Airport Construction Program at Thomas P. Stafford Airport (Weatherford).  The project consists of constructing a new terminal building. Based on bids, the total project cost is $1,642,140 and will be funded with $277,222 of federal grant funds, $500,000 of state grant funds and $864,918 of sponsor matching funds. An approval is contingent upon the Commission receiving an acceptable grant application.
