OKLAHOMA CITY –The University of Oklahoma’s Max Westheimer Airport in Norman was recently named the 2011 “Airport of the Year” by the Oklahoma Airport Operators Association.  Walt Strong, the airport’s administrator, was tabbed the 2011 “Airport Manager of the Year.”

OKLAHOMA CITY – State aviation officials say they are frustrated and disappointed that Congress has yet to pass a long-term, comprehensive reauthorization bill for the Federal Aviation Administration but are hopeful that lawmakers can come to an agreement soon.
